Audi has revealed the heavily revised A4 family, headlined by an updated design and a comprehensive technology upgrade. Outside, the design team in Ingolstadt has taken clear inspiration from the new A6. There are new headlights (LED across the range) and a fresh interpretation of Audi’s corporate grille, along with tweaked air intakes and detailing on the bumper. The wheel arches have been swollen slightly, and there are sharper lines on the flanks as a throwback to Quattro legends past.

All Q5s feature a 252-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. The combination was good for a 5.8-second run from zero to 60 mph in our testing. The turbo four provides plenty of punch to scoot the Q5 around town or blast down a highway on-ramp, and it is smooth, quiet, and mellifluous. Towing capacity is above average, too.
